This is a black cast iron fireplace surround and mantel, that has only ever surrounded a fake/ornamental fireplace, therefore we have never exposed it to flame. It is of Victorian style and in very nice condition. There is some small damage to the bottom left hand corner of the surround that occurred as we removed it ( see photo) Included in the sale is the separate Hearth surround too.
The fire place surround measures 1235mm wide across the mantle narrowing to 1000mm, 1215mm tall and 175mm deep
The internal fire place frame measures 655mm across, 800mm high and each leg measures 195mm wide.
The chip in the bottom left corner measures 60mm.
